Emeril Lagasse, who is of French Canadian and Portuguese descent, is best known for his phrase, “BAM!” He became a national television personality when he hosted the Food Network’s, “The Essence of Emeril” and “Emeril Live”.

Emeril grew up in Massachusetts where he learned about pastry and bread-baking when he worked in a Portuguese bakery. After attending culinary training, he ended up in New Orleans and worked as a head chef, then later opened his own restaurants. He earned numerous awards, one of which is “One of the top 25 Chefs in the Country” — Food & Wine magazine. [See bottom of page for photo.]

Chef Annemarie Huste was born in Germany, then relocated to the United States and was a chef in personal and celebrity homes. For two years she was personal chef to former First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy and her children, and in that role, cooked for the many “notables” of that era.

She is the founder of Annemarie’s Cookingschool in New York City, has written six cookbooks,was food editor of the German edition of Family Circle, established and operates Annemarie’s Dining Room which is a private facility that caters to private and corporate customers.
